  • Yes, I offer both in-person and virtual appointments. You are welcome to choose to meet online, in-person, or a combination of the two based on what works best for you. If we are going to meet online, I encourage you to find a quiet confidential space where you will be free from distractions during the session. This will help you get the most out of your time in therapy.

Please note that virtual appointments are only offered to Missouri residents and you must be located in the state of Missouri at the time of your session.

  • Yes! If you connect with what you see on my website but do not work in mental health or the medical field, please still reach out. I see many adults who work in other professions.

  • I am an in-network provider for United Healthcare and Aetna. I am an out of network provider for all other insurance carriers. My private pay rate is $140 for a 55-minute session. If you do not have UHC or Aetna but are still interested in using your insurance benefits, I can provide you with a superbill (receipt for services). If you have out of network benefits, you may be able to submit the bill to insurance for partial reimbursement. I am also able to accept FSA and HSA cards.

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) differs from traditional talk therapy by focusing less on talking through problems and more on understanding your inner system of “parts”—the different feelings, thoughts, and roles that show up inside you. Instead of viewing these parts as symptoms to fix, IFS helps you get to know them with curiosity and compassion. This approach supports lasting change by helping you connect with your core Self—the calm, confident place within you that leads to healing and growth from the inside out.

  • Brainspotting is a brain-body technique that helps people move through anxiety, stress, and performance blocks by accessing the deeper parts of the brain where these patterns are held. Using specific eye positions, it allows the brain to process stuck emotions and tension, often leading to a greater sense of clarity, calm, and ease. We can decide together if and when Brainspotting might be helpful for you.

  • No. I do not see anyone under the age of 21 and I do not work with couples. Many other therapists in the area have more training and more interest in working with these populations. I can provide you with a referral if needed.

  • Yes. If you are experiencing suicidal thoughts or struggle with self-harm behaviors, I will not be a good fit for you. I would recommend working with a therapist who has training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).

If you are experiencing significant difficultly eating on a regular basis and have been told that you need to gain weight, my practice will not be a good fit for you. I would recommend finding a treatment team (therapist, registered dietitian, and physician) who specialize in eating disorders.
